About
October 25, 2006
This Blog is designed to offer helpful hints, tips, and tricks to teachers who are integrating technology in an authentic manner. The content will be driven by questions I am asked or by my own current technology interests. Subscribe with your favorite reader, and maybe I’ll have added something new each Tuesday. NO PROMISES though. The frequency at which I post will depend of my wow factor as I follow other blogs and podcasts.
UPDATE - July 12, 2007
I blog at another site (SCASL Blogs!) frequently, and sometimes the content will overlap. I just realized today that I have made myself totally anonymous on this blog, which really makes no sense. I want to formally introduce myself and share a bit about who I am. I am school library media specialist with 21 years experience on my resume. My name is Cathy Nelson, and I am from South Carolina. One can find me in the Ning networks too (Specifically Classroom 2.0, TeacherLibrarian, Edublogger World, and more. I say “more” because I am not as active, but I do read and occasionally respond or make queries. ) I am a member of the Women of Web 2.0 (WOW2.0), and particpate in many of the Ed Tech Talk sessions as well. If one would like to contact me personally, I can be found at cathyjonelson - at - gmail.com

Cathy
I saw you on WOW2.0 tonight. I’m also a media specialist in PA. I teach children & middle school literature online for PA Dept of ED.
I also chair a committee that reviews books for Young Adults. We publish as list of Notable Books for school libraries. This Summer I started a blog to enter books throughout the year. I also hope to put some web2.0 info that pertains to libraries. Our website is http://www.tristatereviews.org.
I linked to you on twitter tonight. I hope you will accept me.
Happy New Year.

Hi Cathy,
First of all cool blog.
I’m a student attending the University of Asia and the Pacific in the Philippines. Our prof. tasked us with making a blog to support a good cause. My group’s cause it to support educational TV. There’s a channel here in the Philippines called the knowledge channel and it provides educational shows to poor children. I wanted to make the blog more interactive for students and teachers to view. Do you have any tips? We also aim to raise awareness about the knowledge channel in hope that more people could help. Would you mind adding us on your technorati to help us get started?
Thanks so much
