Welcome Back–I’ve been on an extended break!
April 13, 2007
It’s been quite a while (since Christmas anyway) since I have posted on my blog. I became overwhelmingly busy! But I’m back and resurrecting this blog because I want to use it to blog some upcoming conferences that I plan to participate in. They are:
NECC in Atlanta, GA June 24-27
SC’s SLI - Myrtle Beach, SC June 17-22
SC’s EdTech in Myrtle Beach, SC October 24-26
I am scheduled for a presentation on the SLI conference, and I’m really excited (and nervous) about that. I proposed to talk about new tech things coming to the K12 schools. Primarily I will discuss and show examples of blogs and podcasts, but I also plan t showcase some open source software that educators can easily use! To name a few, I plan to show Bubbleshare, Scrapblogs, Picasa ( a Google app), Bloglines, ITunes, and more. I have an hour, so obviously the best I’ll do is brush over the programs I present. My goal, however is to get the participants (k12 principals and administrators) interested enough to share this presentation with their faculty or staff, or BETTER, get invited as a consultant to do some faculty staff development!
